Wave Type:
The most important thing to remember about waveforms is not so much the type that matters but rather the Pulse Duration or Drop off of the wave. This is where the wave becomes efficient in delivering PEMF. Intensity:
The intensity or magnetic field strength that your PEMF device emits can be very important as to how effective it is. As a rule of thumb lower intensities usually require longer time periods as opposed to higher intensities which can be done in shorter time periods.
The Multi Wave allows you to run up to an intensity of 3 Gauss (or 3000 Miligauss) with 5 settings. These 5 settings feature the percentage of the maximum intensity range rated at 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
The intensity levels of Bemer are rated up to .350 and .450 gauss which does not give you the same magnetic field strength that you may need for certain ailments.
The higher intensity that Healthy Wave offers makes your cells go through a greater range of polarity which will mean that your treatment for issues that require higher intensity levels will be done in a shorter time period due to the higher intensity range that the Multi-Wave offers.
Pulse Duration (or drop off):

What is Far Infrared Heat Therapy?
Far Infrared Heat is an invisible wave of energy that takes the form of heat. It is the same energy that the sun uses that allows the earth to have life on it.

My Personal Multi-Wave Mat Review
After trying out the Mult-Wave Pro mat (74” X 28”) at my friend’s house a few times. I decided to purchase my own version of the mat ( 60” X 24”) to be able to fully test it out.
While the smaller mat does feature 8 lbs fewer crystals it does feature all the same PEMF capabilities as the full sized Multi Wave Pro.
Recently I got some harsh lower back pain from sitting too long in an uncomfortable beach chair provided by a friend. It impacted me for a few days before I finally decided to do something about it. We’re talking about having trouble getting out of bed, sore lower back kinds of days here!
The first thing I did was made an appointment with my physio and I got the appropriate stretches needed to incorporate them before my workouts. I would like to state that just because these custom settings I programmed worked for me, doesn’t mean the exact same settings will work the same way for you. Remember everyone is different and therefore requires different PEMF levels so do some customizations and see what works for you. If you are happy with how the Pre-Programs work for your ailments that’s fine too!
Since using this new custom program my lower back pain feels alleviated. These days I also added Far Infrared Heat to the mix which puts my body into a relaxed state while having 4 therapies working on my body synergistically.
I tend to be heat sensitive so I usually put the heat on at 130 F or so which is on the lower spectrum of Far-infrared Heat. I also use the Mat for other things like when I sleep (I use the F12 relaxation Pre-Program). As my mind tends to wander at night. The mat definitely helps with the initial stages of getting into a relaxed state. Allowing the melatonin to be naturally produced. This is far more ideal than how I dealt with it previously. How Do I Find the Best PEMF for Myself?
You have to experiment with this a bit. I would first start off by looking at the Controller guide and matching your ailment to Dr Torassians chart. Choose whichever Frequency range from Dr. Torassians chart fits within the Multi Wave pre-programming list and use that as a starting point.
Try it out for 7 days and see how your body reacts to it. If pain persists or you feel too “wired” from the PEMF then you can adjust the Frequency higher or lower.
Once you find the appropriate Frequency Range you can work within each of the segments of the custom program. From there you can also adjust the Waveform, Intensity, Pulse Duration, and per each segment.

The Controller
The Multi Wave Controller is the most ADVANCED PEMF mat controller on the market. While at first glance it’s not the most elegant looking thing it’s programmability is second to none. First we will dive into what the buttons do.
Red Power Button: On/ Off
Heat On/Off button: Used to turn on the far infrared heat. From here you can use the up and down H buttons to control the heat. Available from 1-12 hours
Photon Button (Sun Button): used to turn the Photon lights on and off. They stay on for 1 hour. See Above Photon (Red Light) Therapy Benefits above.
PEMF On/Off Button: used to turn the PEMF on. This button goes to default settings of sine wave at 50% intensity with a medium pulse duration.

The F1 to F10 buttons on the Multi Wave controller are all 20 minute programs. Throughout all of these programs the Wave Type, Frequency, Pulse Duration and Intensity is shown for each 5 minute segment within each program.
